A group met today to discuss whether or not to put on an event on August Bank Holiday Weekend. The decision was to go ahead with a fete-like event, to be held from 11am to 5pm on Saturday & Sunday.

Attractions will include:
Petting Farm (sponsored by the Kings Head)
Bell Boat racing (Sunday) CANCELLED
Drummers workshop (Sunday)
Children's roundabouts
Upton Fusion
Duck Race
Burger van & pig roast
Stalls - anyone who would like one, please contact the Committee
Car boot sale (Monday)
Buskers welcome
Art Exhibition

At a meeting of the Water Festival committee it was decided that in view of the new festival on August Bank Holiday weekend, the 20th Water Festival with it's spectacular firework display would be moved to 2011 and will take place on the late May Bank Holiday weekend.

It was also decided that the committee are happy to work with the new Upton Festival and hold an Upton Town Festival on August Bank Holiday weekend 2010 to run alongside and compliment the fantastic line up already booked in on Upton's Fish Meadow.

In the Town of Upton there will be stalls, children's entertainment including a petting farm, rock climbing, dragon boat racing and other water events including a raft race.

There will not be any fireworks in the town in August; but there will be in May 2011.
